  1. Go to this link: https://apps.miamidadepa.gov/PA.OnlineExemptions/
  2. Click “Create New Account” (or log in if you already have one).
  3. Enter your email and make a password.
  4. Check your email and click the link they send.
  5. Click “New Application”.
  6. Choose “Homestead Exemption”.
  7. If you are 65+, also choose Senior Exemption.
  8. If you moved from another Florida home, also choose Portability.
  9. Find your property by typing the address or folio number and click it.
  10. Upload these 3 things (take clear photos with your phone):
    • Florida driver’s license or ID (front and back)
    • Your deed or closing papers
    • 2 recent proofs you live here (utility bill, bank statement, voter card)
  11. Check everything and click Submit.

You will get a confirmation number right away. Save it!

What Happens After You Apply

  • You get an email confirmation immediately.
  • The office reviews it in 4–6 weeks.
  • They send you a letter in the mail.
  • Once approved, you will see “Homestead” on your property search record.
